Any IPCop addon should work the same way as it does on a standard install.

I should probably clarify that in one area, any addons made for IPCop should work as long as they do not involve heavily modified kernels. In the case of kernel modules such as drivers, usually those can be moved over to the same directory in the -cobalt /lib/modules/~cobalt folder and then run depmod -a and they usually work. The main exception is that there are not many wifi cards that work well in the raq which is a long story in itself and has nothing to do with the os itself.

OK, what would be the maximum size for a hard-drive in a velocityraptor 1100? Is it worth getting a larger drive than 20Gig, would be the question at hand. What is the easiest way to install the FW on a 20Gig partition,  and have the rest available for caching?

If you use the 20GB vmware image we provide, it's already done for you. If you have a spare PC with an intel nic, you can use the iso image we provide. It installs like any other ipcop to the drive, the main difference is that it won't run properly on that pc if you try to boot it, all the pseudo terminals that only work with a video card installed are commented out in inittab as they should be on a headless device and the ttyS0 serial terminal is added to it and stty. The partitioning scheme of our prebuilt 20GB image is no different from any other IPCop install to a 20GB drive. Your /var/log partition is usually much larger than / and I want to remind people that I have a ton of documentation in each folder telling you exactly what do do and how.
