Hello all! Since we are using a patched kernel with proc interfaces for various system parameters and we are using Tom (Wintermute) Eichstaedt's sysinfo as part of the build, I just replaced the bios section (useless on a Cobalt) with a Cobalt section. It shows CPU temperature, ram slot information, system type (Pacifica, Alpine etc) and system serial number. In my current cvs builds, I am using a simple perl script that downloads and updates pci.ids and usb.ids. On my test builds, it downloads every night at 12:10am. I have all of sysinfo being built with lfs scripts now, I added usbutils  and also build pciutils twice, once with the ipcop standard version needed for kudzu to build right and then later a newer version of pciutils is built that can read gzipped pci.ids.

The few extra things added for Raqcop, lcd, usbutils, a newer pciutils and anything that needs to come from external sources are now in lfs and a few download from a repository on this site. The sysinfo.c is built along with the other ipcop misc-progs so the binary is always built rather than lopped in as it was before. Yes weizen_42, yet more ideas I adopted from 2.0svn. The lang files now contain Sysinfo as well so no addon langs are needed.

I need opinions on the pci.ids and usb.ids update feature I came up with, is once a day overkill? The pci and usb ids that come with the programs are horribly outdated. As of now it is another entry in cron. I did not want to use wget as others do. The pci and usb update is one single small perl file.

Back to working on the LCD buttons now.
